Cron jobs allows scripts to perform scheduled tasks without person's intervention.To add a new cron job using cPanel, follow these steps:
1. Login into your cPanel control panel and access "Cron Jobs" tool
2. Enter the times when your script command is going to run or choose one of the common settings
3. Enter the command you wish to run in "Command" field
4. Press "Add New Cron Job"
If you want to receive email when your scheduled command runs, update your email in Cron Email section located in the top.
Please note that you need to have a good understanding of Linux commands if you wish to use cron jobs. Oftentimes some scripts give you a predefined command that you just need to enter in "Command" field.
